To celebrate the release of our Fall/Winter 2020 Collection, we invited legendary NYC DJs Clark Kent and Stretch Armstrong—both members of “The Originals” crew—to share their stories about being introduced to Sergio Tacchini gear back in the 80s as it first entered the U.S. via tennis, hip hop, and the streets.
In video conversations shot at their respective homes, DJ Clark Kent—who’s produced the likes of Jay Z and the late Biggie Smalls, and is a bona fide sneaker king—discusses his personal Tacchini collection, esteem for the brand’s Young Line shoe, and the inimitable crinkle of a true Tacchini tracksuit. Similarly, DJ Stretch Armstrong—who grew up playing tennis and later co-hosted the infamous hip hop radio program “The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show”—talks about his affinity for fly tennis gear from a young age including an early attempt at a DIY Tacchini polo.
