Sergio Tacchini and STAMPD, the icon West Coast streetwear brand created by Chris Stamp, launched a capsule in Paris during Fashion Week 2019. Collaboration between the two brands has led to creation of a street-feel sneaker that reworks the historic Pat Cash from 1987 (the year when Cash won Wimbledon in Tacchini colours). Covered in a mesh that looks like tennis court surfaces and with a diagonal zip, the shoe was presented with a mini capsule of T-shirts and sweats.
The capsule created by Sergio Tacchini for Tom Notte and Bart Vandebosch’s Belgian brand Les Hommes featured in a runway show on 12 January at the Rotonda della Besana in Milan. Iconic Sergio Tacchini tennis garments, linked to the history of the brand and its champions, were presented in dark colours typical of these two designer, with graphic customisation and macro zips.
Sergio Tacchini and the Italian company Marbel have signed a licence agreement for creation and distribution in Italy of the Sergio Tacchini line for 0 to 14 year olds. The first collection for autumn winter 2019 was presented at Pitti Bimbo and comprises a sportswear line, an Archivio line that copies the adult wear based on the brand’s historic archives, and a special Monte-Carlo tournament line.
Sergio Tacchini signs a co-branding agreement with Mattel and creates a tennis capsule for women and girls dedicated to Barbie, the icon doll who will be celebrating her 60th birthday on 9 March 2019. The kit, with graphics and colours taken from the world of Barbie, is joined by a commemorative cotton T-shirt featuring the face of the first Barbie from 1959. The female players on Team Tacchini will be wearing their Barbie kits at the Indian Wells tournament, which coincides with this anniversary. A Barbie will be dressed in a Sergio Tacchini x Barbie tennis kit by the official designers for special Barbie events in Italy, the Magia 2000 creatives.

Eleven years ago, the Sergio Tacchini brand came to the Monte-Carlo tournament for the first time as a sponsor or, to be more precise, as the Official Sport Equipment Partner. 2009 marked the beginning of a winning partnership between this prestigious tournament whose courts look out over the Mediterranean Sea and the Italian brand famous for having dressed the greatest tennis champions during its 50-year history. 2019 will once again see Sergio Tacchini on the court with the ball boys and girls , whose kits, just like all the tournament line, are completely renewed each season, following style trends, colour cards and models that make them elegant outfits that are also very practical for those on court.
